Support Engineer
APWI is looking for a Software Support Engineer to complement
its technical team and provide high level technical support,
training, and troubleshooting. We are searching for a person
with expertise in network printing and print drivers. A
dynamic individual who is a team player and can work with
tight deadlines. Knowledge of legacy (IBM and Xerox) printing
and mainframe connectivity would be a plus. This could be
a Virtual position depending on experience.
Some travel required.
Required Skills:
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
- Critical and analytical thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
- Ability to work on several projects at once.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and written.
- Ability to travel on short notice.
- Working knowledge of a variety of computer hardware,
software, and network systems.
- Knowledge of IBM and Xerox legacy languages a plus.
Experience in a business environment with the following
software:
Microsoft Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Remote
Desktop, GoToMeeting.
2 – 3 years experience with the following operation
systems:
Windows XP
Windows 2003 Server
Windows 7
Windows 2008 Server
Knowledge of Mainframe and Linux a plus.
